Is it just me or has spring slighted us? It seems like all in a rush finals are over, the rains have stopped, and the summer homework, jobs, and heat waves have all settled in. At least there's the marsh. I've taken a few walks out there since school let out and the colors are dazzling. I keep forgetting to bring my camera, but I just know those vibrant combinations are going to show up in my art somewhere.

I have several works-in-progress that I need to sit down and finish, but things like painting another room in my house keep getting in the way. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing--house painting is, in my opinion, quite fun.

Mainly, this journal entry is to test out DeviantART's new journal skin system, which has allowed me to download a couple skins even though I'm not a premium member. Only time (and a few clicks) will tell if it lets me publish with them.
